KISS, or Keep It Simple Stupid, is a term that is applied often in business and for a number of different reasons. In terms of website design and development it generally refers to the usability of your online presence. By ensuring that a website is easy to use for all of your potential visitors you will be less likely to endure a high bounce rate on your website pages.

One of the top reasons that a visitor is instantly put off a website is the fact that it is too difficult to use and the problem is further exacerbated by the increased demand for dynamic content that is designed to get visitors involved. Website interaction is becoming more and more commonplace because website users are demanding it from the sites they visit.

Another problem with overly complex websites is that they can take longer to open; another cause of people instantly closing pages when they first open them.

Website and user interaction is good but slow loading web pages and unnecessarily complex designs and applications are not good. They can lead visitors to quickly click the close button and move on to visit one of your competitors’ websites.
